Feasibility and efficacy of pairing fecal immunochemical testing with mammography for increasing colorectal cancer screening among uninsured Latinas in northern Manhattan.
We evaluated the feasibility and efficacy of a program to promote colorectal cancer screening (CRC) among uninsured Latinas receiving mammography through a cancer screening clinic in northern Manhattan. ⋯ This study suggests that pairing CRC education and screening with mammography is both feasible and efficacious.

Adoption of preventive measures during and after the 2009 influenza A (H1N1) virus pandemic peak in Spain.
This study describes the preventive measures adopted by the Spanish population towards 2009 influenza A (H1N1) virus and their associated factors. ⋯ In addition to demographic factors, modifiable factors such as personal beliefs and expectations play a role in the adoption of preventive measures.

Multicenter StudyWorldwide prevalence of physical inactivity and its association with human development index in 76 countries.
To describe the worldwide prevalence of physical inactivity and to analyze its association with development level of each country. ⋯ One out of five adults around the world is physically inactive. Physical inactivity was more prevalent among wealthier and urban countries, and among women and elderly individuals.

Trends in self-reported health care provider recommendations for colorectal cancer screening by race.
To examine whether a racial difference exists in self-reported recommendations for colorectal cancer screening from a health care provider, and whether this difference has changed over time. ⋯ Whites were more likely than Blacks to report ever receiving a provider recommendation for colonoscopy/sigmoidoscopy. Although the proportion of patients receiving recommendations for colonoscopy/sigmoidoscopy increased over time, the gap between races remained unchanged.
