Patterns and correlates of multiple risk behaviors in overweight women.
Knowledge about the prevalence, co-occurrence, and correlates of lifestyle related behaviors of overweight women is needed to inform the design of health promotion interventions for weight loss. ⋯ Nearly 80% of the sample had multiple lifestyle risk behaviors. Poor dietary behaviors were present in all of the most prevalent risk behavior combinations. Lower socioeconomic and educational status and family and employment obligations characterize overweight and obese women with unhealthy activity and dietary behaviors in need of health promotion interventions.

ReviewKnowledge about infection with human papillomavirus: a systematic review.
Human papillomavirus (HPV) is a necessary cause of cervical cancer and genital warts. The aim of this systematic literature review was to provide an overview of knowledge about HPV infection among the public, students, patients and health professionals. ⋯ Overall, the knowledge of the general public about HPV infection is poor. Efforts should be increased to give sufficient and unbiased information on HPV infection to the general public.

ReviewA birth of inactivity? A review of physical activity and parenthood.
To review the existing research on physical activity and parenthood in order to establish direction for future research. ⋯ Parents with dependent children are clearly more inactive than non-parents and the topic has received disproportionably scant research considering the size of the effect. Current research has largely been focused on mothers, and has relied heavily on cross-sectional designs and self-report measures. Future work should focus on longitudinal designs across family development, gender and role interactions, and include social ecological frameworks and objective physical activity measurement.

Eating fast leads to insulin resistance: findings in middle-aged Japanese men and women.
To examine relationships between speed of eating and insulin resistance. ⋯ Our results suggest that eating fast is independently associated with insulin resistance in middle-aged Japanese men and women.

Randomized Controlled Trial Multicenter StudyThe pediatric residency training on tobacco project: four-year resident outcome findings.
To evaluate the efficacy of a special program for training pediatric residents to address tobacco. ⋯ The special training program, with Solutions for Smoking as its centerpiece, was found to be effective for training pediatric residents to address tobacco, and it may serve as a model for pediatric residency training programs. Ways of improving the program are discussed.
