To ascertain the current use of lumbar puncture (LP) and laboratory tests for possible or suspected sepsis by Australian neonatologists. ⋯ Lumbar puncture and laboratory tests for possible or suspected sepsis are not used uniformly by Australian neonatologists. The presently available information in the scientific literature is ambiguous and systematic review and further scientific study are required to determine best practice guidelines.

Behaviour of children associated with parental participation during induction of general anaesthesia.
To evaluate children's behaviour during induction of general anaesthesia with parental participation. ⋯ Parental participation in anaesthetic induction of children can reduce distress at parental separation without any negative consequences. With proper preparation and education, parents should be encouraged to be present during the induction of general anaesthesia.

Adenosine in the management of supraventricular tachycardia in children.
To assess the efficacy and safety of adenosine in the management of supraventricular tachycardia in children. ⋯ Adenosine is safe and effective in the management of supraventricular tachycardia in children. A commencing dose of 0.1 mg/kg is appropriate.
