ReviewURINE CYTOLOGY AND AXILLARY TESTING FOR INTERPRETATION AND FOLLOW-UP OF URINARY TUMORS.
Microscopic appearance of cells in urine cytological samples is the formal diagnostic approach adjunct to cystoscopy for the detection and follow-up of urinary tumors. However, cystoscopy is a surgical method and cytology may miss low-grade papillary tumors. ⋯ When combined with conventional cytology, uro-oncological diagnostic performance is improved. We review the value of these non-invasive modalities in comparison with urine cytomorphology in the work-up of urothelial malignancies.

CHANGES IN PHYSICAL ACTIVITY LEVELS IN PATIENTS WITH ACUTE CORONARY SYNDROME BETWEEN THE FIRST AND THIRD DECADES OF THE 21st CENTURY.
Sedentary lifestyle and obesity increase the risk of coronary disease (CAD). The aims of this prospective study were to estimate the trends in physical activity (PA) level, accuracy of the Baecke's/LRC-PA questionnaires, and trends in obesity parameters (body mass index-BMI/waist-to-hip ratio-WHR) in patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS) in the last two decades. We grouped 209 patients with ACS (UAP-unstable angina, STEMI-ST-elevation myocardial infarction, NSTEMI-non STEMI) by year of admission (Group 2002-05/Group 2017) and compared them by the levels of PA (Baecke's/LRC-PA questionnaires) and obesity parameters (BMI, WHR). ⋯ Patients with UAP/STEMI had higher WHR in 2017 (1.02 vs. 0.96, 1.02 vs. 0.99, respectively) (P<0.05) and had lower LI in 2002-05 (2.50 vs. 3.25, 2.75 vs. 3.50, respectively) (P<0.05). In conclusion, leisure PA and WHR was increased in the study period both in patients with ACS and in the general population. We emphasize the usage of more precise methods for evaluation of PA and obesity (Baecke's/Four-point LRC-PA questionnaires, WHR), and that only increased PA with dietary changes leads to reduction of central obesity and risk of ACS.

The aim of this cross-cultural study was to examine predictors of sexual satisfaction. For the present analysis, we used a large-scale sample database that included 8821 individuals from 4 countries. ⋯ Our international study found statistically significantly higher satisfaction among homosexual participants, participants aged 18 to 23 years, those with a higher level of education, in a relationship, with a current sexual partner, in a current partnered (unmarried) relationship, and without a diagnosed sexual or mental disorder. At the same time, we found that the correlation between sexual satisfaction and the different predictors varieed considerably across countries, which calls for further research.

INFLUENCE OF CONTINUOUS POSITIVE AIRWAY PRESSURE TREATMENT ON AUDITORY EVENT-RELATED POTENTIALS P300.
Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is a sleep-related breathing disorder characterized by obstructions of the upper airway during sleep, resulting in repetitive breathing pauses accompanied by oxygen desaturation and arousal from sleep. OSA can be successfully treated with continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP), weight loss, positional therapy, oral appliances, hypoglossal nerve stimulation, and surgical procedures. ⋯ Using auditory event-related potentials (P300), this study aimed to examine the effect of CPAP therapy on cognitive functions in patients with moderate and severe OSA. The results of the study showed improvement in P300 latency and amplitude after 3 months of CPAP therapy, indicating a positive effect of CPAP therapy in the prevention of cognitive decline in patients with OSA.

Laparoscopic radical prostatectomy (LRP) is traditionally characterized as a technically difficult procedure with a long learning curve but it is successfully performed worldwide. The aim of this paper was to assess the initial learning curve and clinical outcomes for LRP in our center. We performed a retrospective study including 63 LRP cases, in the course of 22 months, performed by 2 urologists, with no previous LRP experience. ⋯ There were 5 (7.9%) Clavien Dindo grade II complications. Undetectable prostate specific antigen (PSA) was observed in 59 (93.6%) patients, and fifty-five patients (87.3%) were continent. Following a methodical learning approach, LRP can be safely mastered with favorable outcomes.
