Case ReportsA Case of Systemic Lupus Erythematosus with Malignant Pleural Mesothelioma in a 42-year Woman.
Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is an autoimmune connective tissue disease characterised by inflammation. Malignant pleural mesothelioma (MPM) is a highly invasive malignant tumor derived from pleural mesothelial cells. Here, we report a case of SLE with MPM. ⋯ We should pay attention to pleural effusion when diagnosing SLE. If possible, a pleural biopsy should be performed to reduce misdiagnosis and missed diagnosis. Key Words: Pleural effusion, Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), Mesothelioma.

Case ReportsChanges in Serum Protein and Enzyme Levels in Human T Lymphotropic Virus-1-Infected Patient.
This study aims to evaluate the changes in serum protein levels in a patient with confirmed human T lymphotropic virus type-1 (HTLV-1) infection. Screening and confirmation tests were performed for HTLV-1, along with an assessment of overall albumin, alpha 1 and 2, and gamma and beta globulin levels, using SAS-3 protein electrophoretic analysis. ⋯ To aid early detection of the virus and initiate treatment, a comprehensive investigation at the protein and gene levels should be performed. ReviewPreparing for a Pandemic: Our Plans and Lessons Learnt as a Department in a Tertiary Care Hospital.
This is a descriptive article aiming to present and analyse the steps of preparedness and troubleshooting of problems faced at operating rooms and intensive care unit during the ongoing coronavirus infectious disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, a tertiary care hospital in Ireland from February 2020 to March 2020. Concerning preparation, we reviewed all aspects of our clinical and potential logistic issues and their accessible solutions in times of limited resources. ⋯ We found good communication and training as critical factors in the preparation for a pandemic. Randomized Controlled TrialEffectiveness of Teaching with Visualisation Table in Comparison to Traditional Lecture in Anatomy Department, Jinnah Sindh Medical University.
To determine the effectiveness of Sectra visualisation table (SVT) in a public sector setup and to compare the traditional (TRAD) lecture with SVT-aided teaching in terms of learning outcomes and students' perception regarding SVT. ⋯ SVT cannot totally replace traditional lecture, although it is a promising tool which can be introduced in the curriculum to enrich the learning experience of students.
