Observational StudyIncidental Detection of Inguinoscrotal Bladder Hernia with Associated Factors on 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose PET/CT Scans.
To evaluate the associated factors of inguinoscrotal bladder hernia (ISBH), which was detected on 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography/computed tomography (18F-FDG PET/CT) scans. ⋯ This study reiterated the impact of PV and the parameters representing abdominal fat distribution on ISBH development. PET/CT scan provided valuable information regarding both the hernia contents and the associated factors in which the higher PV had a significant association for the development of ISBH as well as lower SFV/VFV that was more prominent in ISH with bowel. Key Words: Inguinoscrotal bladder hernia, 18F FDG PET/CT scan, Subcutaneous fat, Prostate volume, Visceral fat.

Observational StudyElectrophysiological Pattern and Predictors of Functional Outcome of Patients with Guillain Barre Syndrome at a Tertiary Care Hospital in Pakistan.
To determine electrophysiological pattern and predictors of functional outcomes of patients with Gullain Barre Syndrome (GBS) at a tertiary care hospital. ⋯ In this study population, AIDP was the most common variant with good prognosis and AMAN variant had the worst prognosis. Key Words: Guillain Barre syndrome (GBS), Acute inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy (AIDP), Acute motor axonal neuropathy (AMAN), Peripheral neuropathy, Lower limb weakness, Acute motor and sensory axonal neuropathy (AMSAN), Sensory neuropathy, Autoimmune disease.

Neurotrophic Factor Levels and Cognitive Functions before and after the Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation in Treatment Resistant Depression.
To determine relationship between the therapeutic effect of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) on cognitive impairment and brain derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), glial cell derived neurotrophic factor (GDNF) levels in treatment resistant depression (TRD). ⋯ rTMS treatment contributes to the antidepressant effect by normalising serum BDNF and GDNF levels in patients with TRD. Adding rTMS to antidepressants is, therefore, an appropriate treatment option for depressive patients with cognitive impairment. Key Words: rTMS, BDNF, GDNF, Cognitive function.

The Association of Elevated Serum Lipids with Occurrence and Severity of Diabetic Retinopathy in Type II Diabetics Presenting in a Tertiary Care Hospital.
A descriptive, cross-sectional study, was conducted in the Department of Internal Medicine and Ophthalmology, Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences, Islamabad, Pakistan, from May to November 2018. The aim was to ascertain the frequency of elevated serum lipids and diabetic retinopathy; and compare the serum lipid levels with severity of diabetic retinopathy among Type II diabetic patients. A total of 262 patients having Type II diabetes aged 35 to 65 years were included. ⋯ Several risk factors play a vital role in the development, morbidity, and progression of diabetic eye disease. Age and dyslipidemia are significant factors in the severe disease. Key Words: Diabetic retinopathy, Dyslipidemia, Hyperglycemia, High HbA1c, Maculopathy.
