Case ReportsTakayasu Arteritis with Isolated Headache and Neck Pain.
Takayasu Arteritis (TA), a chronic inflammatory condition of the aorta and its major branches, causes narrowing and ultimate occlusion of major vessels and may manifest as cerebrovascular insufficiency, organ ischemia, and systemic arterial hypertension (HTN). Herein, we report a case of a 35-year female with the pulseless disease but no other clinical signs except headache and neck pain on exertion despite the fact that three out of four vessels of the aortic arch were occluded. ⋯ This case report highlights the clinical importance of unexplained headaches and absent peripheral pulses in the screening of TA. Key Words: Takayasu arteritis, Unexplained headache, Neck pain.

Although glomus tumour is usually seen in the subungual region of the extremities, it may rarely occur in visceral organs. Approximately 1% of all glomus tumours are malignant. Malignant glomus tumours of the urinary system are extremely rare. ⋯ Because there are very few cases, the treatment protocol is not entirely clear. However, complete removal of the tumour is an effective treatment and can prevent local recurrence. Key Words: Malignant glomus tumour, Ureter, Treatment, Urogenital system.

Efficacy of Ganciclovir in Cytomegalovirus Retinitis via Intravitreal Route in AIDS Patients.
A series of nine eyes of five patients at LRBT Tertiary Teaching Eye Hospital, from July 2020 to June 2021 is reported. Five patients with high clinical suspicion of CMV Retinitis were treated with weekly intravitreal injections of 2.0 mg ganciclovir for 3 weeks. Pre- and post-injection visual acuity and clinical findings were noted. ⋯ Patients were followed up for a minimum duration of 1 year. Intravitreal ganciclovir is effective for CMV retinitis but follow- up for a longer duration is needed as these patients are prone to develop peripheral retinal tractions and detachments. Key Words: Ganciclovir, CMV retinitis, AIDS.

The objective of the study was to investigate whether the peripheral lymphocyte count was independently negative association with viral clearance time of SARS-CoV-2 in Chinese patients with COVID-19. Total 202 patients were chosen for the last data analysis. The patients' mean age was 41.39±12.47 years. ⋯ The trend of peripheral lymphocyte count treated as a categorical variable in linear regression was also consistent with the result when peripheral lymphocyte count was treated as a continuous variable. There was a negative association between peripheral lymphocyte count and viral clearance time of SARS-CoV-2 in Chinese patients with COVID-19. Key Words: Peripheral lymphocyte count, Viral clearance, COVID-19.

Case ReportsOsteoporotic Vertebral Fracture Misdiagnosed as Metastatic Vertebral Fracture.
The purpose of this study was to report a patient with osteoporotic vertebral compression fracture (OVCF) which was misdiagnosed as metastatic vertebral compression fracture (MVCF). A 64-year male was admitted to our clinic for complaints of numbness, pain, and activity limitation in bilateral lower extremities. One year ago, he had a medical history of lung adenocarcinoma and bone metastasis. ⋯ It is important to differentiate OVCF from MVCF by clinical symptoms, laboratory examination, and imaging features before operation. Histological findings are the gold standard for accurate diagnosis. Key Words: Osteoporosis, Vertebral fracture, Metastasis.
