Analysis of 2,386 consecutive cycles of in vitro fertilization or intracytoplasmic sperm injection using autologous oocytes in women aged 40 years and above.
To estimate the live-birth and miscarriage rates in 1-year age increments for women aged ≥40 years undergoing in vitro fertilization or intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI-IVF) with autologous oocytes. ⋯ The success rate of ICSI-IVF as measured by live-birth rate per initiated cycle was statistically significantly higher for women aged <43 years as compared with women aged ≥43 years. Once women have attained age 43 years, alternative methods such as oocyte donation cycles or previously cryopreserved embryos are likely to be more effective.

To date, no literature has focused on the counseling of patients with Mayer-Rokitansky-Küster-Hauser syndrome as relates to their unique fertility challenges. This article is presented as a guide to practitioners in the counseling of patients with varying Mayer-Rokitansky-Küster-Hauser phenotypes regarding individual reproductive potential.

Randomized Controlled Trial Multicenter Study Comparative StudyLetrozole versus combined metformin and clomiphene citrate for ovulation induction in clomiphene-resistant women with polycystic ovary syndrome: a randomized controlled trial.
To compare the effect of letrozole with combined metformin and clomiphene citrate (CC) for ovulation induction in CC-resistant women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). ⋯ Letrozole and combined metformin-CC are equally effective for inducing ovulation and achieving pregnancy in patients with CC-resistant PCOS.

A 36-year-old multiparous woman presented with amenorrhea and hyperhidrosis of 6 months' duration. Physical examination revealed large, stubby fingers and toes with soft tissue thickening. Serum growth hormone and insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1) levels were elevated and a pituitary macroadenoma was found on computerized tomography (CT).

To evaluate factors associated with ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS) and its effect on assisted reproductive technology (ART) treatment and outcome. ⋯ Ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome is associated with a higher likelihood of pregnancy, and multiple gestations, but also greater risks for adverse pregnancy outcomes.
