Evaluation of circumcision bleeding cannot depend on the visual change in the diaper. Diapers have different product features and absorbency capacities. The apparent changes in the diapers may vary according to their absorbent capacity and may not be in parallel with the amount of bleeding. Before significant visual difference occurs, the patient's hemodynamics may be impaired. ⋯ Visual evaluation of the color change of the diapers may not give accurate results for bleeding follow-up. If necessary to use diapers after circumcision, it is more appropriate to prefer those with low absorbency capacity. Using fabric or cotton products in cases with bleeding risk may be recommended. If bleeding is suspected, hemogram control is the most appropriate option. Diaper manufacturers should warn consumers of the risk. In conclusion, we should be on the safe side for mortality and morbidity.

Vesicovaginal and rectovaginal fistulas may develop after pelvic metastasis of ovarian carcinoma. Purulent discharge from the vagina results in frequent vaginal or urinary tract infections, and triggers chronic inflammation. These incapacitating symptoms create serious medical and psychosocial problems, and result in low self-esteem and QoL. ⋯ Surgery was performed successfully. However, we had to deal with complications, such as electrolyte imbalance, wound infection and continuing SIRS. Cumulative inflammatory burden caused by advanced carcinoma itself and its complications creates serious medical and psychosocial problems and should be managed with patience.

The mechanism involved in the pathogenesis of preeclampsia (PE) remains uncertain, and the research into a better understanding, its possible prediction, and subsequent prevention continues. ⋯ This study therefore reveals significantly lower levels of immunoglobulins and trace elements among the preeclamptic subjects. These micronutrient deficiencies and low levels of immunoglobulins could be risk factors for the development of high blood pressure and PE.

This study aims to improve the geometric design of the distal cementless femoral prosthesis stem, thereby changing the stress distribution of the femoral prosthesis and reducing the proximal stress shielding and distal stress concentration of the femur, so as to obtain better bone growth and long-term stability. ⋯ The bottom "cross" groove of the distal femoral prosthesis can change the stress distribution in the prosthesis-distal femoral region and reduce the stress concentration at the distal prosthesis. Wherein, the grooved design of length ratio 1:1 is more advantageous.
