Allergic rhinitis (AR) is a multifocal IgE-mediated type I hypersensitivity reaction involving nasal mucosa characterized by excessive sneezing, watery rhinorrhea, nasal itching, nasal stuffiness, and eyes itching. Tympanometry is a simple, rapid, and objective test that can be easily carried out. The use of tympanometry in clinical setting can improve detection of middle ear effusion and other middle ear abnormalities. AR has been found to be one of the predisposing factors to developing Otitis Media with Effusion (OME) in children. ⋯ Participants with AR were found to have more abnormalities of tympanometric parameters and higher prevalence of type B tympanogram suggesting OME than controls.

Polymerization plays an important role in the optical and mechanical properties resin composite materials. ⋯ Under the conditions of 10,000 thermal cycles, different curing times did not affect the color change and hardness values of the bulk-fill materials. However, differences were observed among the composite materials. After thermocycling, the surface hardness and TP values decreased in all the resin composites. Depending on the material content, effective results can be obtained from the 20 s polymerization of bulk-fill resin composites.

Ameloblastoma is a benign epithelial odontogenic tumor with a tendency for recurrence. Some recurrent tumors could behave unpredictably with atypical microscopic changes. ⋯ There was a high recurrence rate of recurrent tumors of ameloblastoma demonstrated in the present study, with a malignant presentation in some cases.

An extremely rare disease with a slow course, actinomycosis has a high mortality risk when not properly treated. Pulmonary actinomycosis is clinically and radiologically analogous with tuberculosis, foreign body aspiration, lung abscess, or lung cancer. Therefore, it often causes misdiagnosis or delay in diagnosis. ⋯ A diagnosis of actinomycosis was made with sulfur granules seen in the pathology as a result of biopsy and lavage. Detection of sulfur granules in biopsy is essential for the diagnosis of actinomycosis, and a nearly complete response is usually obtained with long-term antibiotic treatment. Alternative methods such as surgical debridement should be considered in cases that do not respond to antibiotic treatment.

Soft-tissue sarcoma of the arm-An oncosurgical and reconstructive challenge: A case report.
Soft-tissue sarcoma (STS) is a rare tumor that may occur in the upper extremity. Its presentation is delayed by slow growth and lack of symptoms. Lesions are discovered via physical and radiologic examinations, and definitive diagnosis is conducted histopathologically. ⋯ The patient remained relapse-free after a regimen for adjuvant chemotherapy. Satisfactory aesthetic results and modest elbow extension were evident during the 11-month follow-up. Properly managing upper extremity STS is crucial for preventing recurrence and metastasis.
