[The applications of the STOP-Bang questionnaire in screening obstructive sleep apnea in patients with metabolic syndrome].
To evaluate the predictive performance of the STOP-Bang questionnaire screening obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) in patients with metabolic syndrome(MS). ⋯ The STOP-Bang questionnaire has high accuracy and feasibility in screening OSA and can predict the severity of OSA among patients with MS.

[The impacts of the multidisciplinary team model on the length of stay and hospital expenses of patients with lung cancer].
To explore the impacts of the multidisciplinary team model on the average length of stay and hospital expenses of patients with lung cancer. ⋯ The multidisciplinary team model was an effective measure to cut down the hospital expenses and shorten the length of stay of lung cancer patients, especially for the first hospitalization. Patients may benefit from the multidisciplinary team approach according to their stages. On the basis of reducing the hospital costs and the length of stay, it further reduced the gap of the length of stay and hospital expenses between patients with Ia-IIIa and IIIb-IV diseases, while patients with stage Ia-IIIa disease seemed to benefit more.

[Characteristics of airway hyperresponsiveness in children with chronic cough of different causes].
To study the characteristics of airway hyperresponsiveness in children with different causes of chronic cough. ⋯ The characteristics of airway responsiveness of chronic cough caused by different causes were varied in different AHR severity and course. Bronchial provocation test combined with induced sputum showed certain values for confirming the cause of chronic cough in children.

Randomized Controlled Trial[The effect of mild sedation on the prognosis and inflammatory markers in critical patients with mechanical ventilation].
To compare the effect of slight and usual sedation on the prognosis and inflammatory marker levels in patients receiving mechanical ventilation in ICU. ⋯ Slight sedation was shown to reduce the length of mechanical ventilation and ICU stay. It also decreased the levels of inflammatory markers while didn't increase the incidence of adverse reactions.
