[Postinflammatroy pulmonary fibrosis of COVID-19: the current status and perspective].
The novel coronavirus pneumonia (COVID-19) has been well controlled in China. Most of the COVID-19 patients were having postinflammatory pulmonary fibrosis (PPF) on the follow-up CT scan when discharged, and complaining about exertional dyspnea of different levels, presenting with an UIP (usual interstitial pneumonia) pattern or NSIP (non-specific interstitial pneumonia) pattern on the CT scans. Will the PPF get improved or stay stable, or progress? Such questions could only be answered by follow-up and monitoring of the pulmonary function. ⋯ Pirfenidone and Nintedanib had been approved for the treatment of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis(IPF), showing effectiveness on non-IPF pulmonary fibrosis as well. However, there are no studies about the application on PPF resulting from viral pneumonia. Given the follow-up status of SARS patients and MERS patients, and the PPF of COVID-19 patients, we should be careful about the discharged patients with a close follow-up, and further studies on PPF of COVID-19 are needed.

[The predictive value of ultrasonic measurement of the diaphragmatic thickening fraction combined with the maximal inspiratory pressure in mechanical ventilation patients].
Objective: To evaluate the value of the diaphragmatic thickening fraction (DTF) combined with the maximum inspiratory pressure (MIP) for the prediction of weaning success in mechanically ventilated patients. Methods: Patients admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) of Yijishan Hospital of Wannan Medical College and on mechanical ventilation for 24 hours from June 2018 to April 2019 were selected as the study subjects. A low-level pressure support ventilation (PSV) method was applied to conduct a spontaneous breathing test (SBT) for 30 minutes after the patients met the screening conditions for clinical weaning; and the patients were weaned when they met the clinical weaning criteria. ⋯ The AUC of DTF ≥ 27.78% and MIP ≥ 26.5 cmH(2)O was 0.920 (95% CI:0.832-0.971), and the specificity increased to 87.7%, but the sensitivity was slightly reduced to 87.5%. Conclusions: The DTF and MIP play a crucial role in determining the appropriate time and predicting the outcome of weaning of mechanical ventilation patients. Compared with the DTF and MIP alone, the DTF combined with MIP greatly improved the accuracy of predicting successful weaning.

[Recommendation of respiratory rehabilitation for PICS in critically ill patients with COVID-19].
The critically illsurvivors with COVID-19 have Post-Intensive Care Syndrome (PICS) manifestations of varying degrees of physical, cognitive, and mental disorders after discharge from the Intensive Care Unit. Comprehensive respiratory rehabilitation interventions for patients are essential to minimize disability rate, reduce medical costs, and increase social participation. ⋯ Based on Chinese experience, a PCCM physician-led multidisciplinary team management process was constructed. Personal protection recommendations were made based on the potential risk of infection among critically ill COVID-19 survivors.

[Analysis of clinical characteristics of 49 cases of COVID-19].
Objective: To analyze the epidemiological and clinical characteristics, and imaging features of patients with COVID-19 in Henan Province People's Hospital. Methods: The epidemiology, clinical symptoms, laboratory and radiologic data of 49 patients with COVID-19 infection admitted to the department of infectious disease in our hospital from January 23, 2020 to February 22, 2020 were retrospectively analyzed. All analyses were performed with SPSS software, version 22.0. ⋯ Laboratory results showed that lymphocyte count, LDH, D-dimer, interleukin-6 and interleukin-10 levels had a significant correlation with the severity of the disease, which could be used as markers for disease progression and prognosis. Pulmonary imaging showed unilateral or bilateral ground glass infiltration. In severe and critically ill patients, diffuse infiltration and consolidation or even "white lung" were present.

[When COVID-19 encounters interstitial lung disease: challenges and management].
In December 2019, a new type of coronavirus pneumonia (COVID-19) emerged in Wuhan, Hubei, and spread rapidly to China. The lung injury and repair caused by COVID-19 has many similarities with the onset and progression of interstitial lung disease (ILD). ⋯ Clinicians need to comprehensively analyze the epidemic history, disease onset characteristics, clinical manifestations, image characteristics, serological andpathogenic microorganism test results to confirm diagnosis. Because of this, the article will discuss the issues related to the differential diagnosis and management of COVID-19 and ILD, and try to provide reasonable suggestions.
