[Electromagnetic navigation bronchoscopy real-time guidance lung biopsy for the diagnosis of small peripheral pulmonary lesions].
To evaluate the diagnostic value and safety of electromagnetic navigation bronchoscopy real-time guidance lung biopsy (ENB-guided TBLB) of small peripheral lung lesions (diameter < 3 cm). ⋯ Electromagnetic navigation bronchoscopy real-time guidance lung biopsy for small peripheral pulmonary lesions is safe, and has higher diagnostic rate.

[The analysis of species identification and susceptibility testing of Mycobacterium abscessus].
To evaluate the method of differentiating Mycobacterium abscessus subsp. abscessus (subsp. M. abscessus) from Mycobacterium abscessus subsp. massiliense (subsp. M. massiliense), and to investigate the activity of different antibiotics in vitro. ⋯ M. abscessus can be divided into subsp. M. abscessus and subsp. M. massiliense by using rpoB and hsp65. Amikacin, azithromycin and imipenem showed excellent inhibition activity against M. abscessus in vitro. Cefoxitin also showed a good inhibition activity. Clarithromycin had a poor inhibition activity against subsp. M. abscessus, but a good inhibition activity against subsp. M. massiliense. Erm(41) was related to clarithromycin resistance.

[Subspecies identification for Mycobacterium abscessus group].
To identify the subspecies of Mycobacterium abscessus (M.abscessus) group. ⋯ Hsp65 is applicable to the identification of the subspecies of M.abscessus group, and due to the fact that subspecies of M.abscessus group shows distinct genotytpcally feature in erm (41) sequencing and phenotypic feature in clarithromycin susceptibility, hsp65 and erm (41) can be applied to the identification of subspecies of M.abscessus group, and the resulting data may be useful for clinical diagnosis and treatments.

[Coagulopathy correlates with outcomes in patients with community- acquired pneumonia].
To explore and evaluate the predictive value of coagulopathy in patients with community-acquired pneumonia (CAP) METHODS: A retrospective study was performed by investigating the prothrombin time (PT), activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT), plasma fibrinogen (FIB), thrombin time (TT), platelets (PLT), and D-dimer in 385 patients with CAP, who were admitted to the Respiratory Medical Department of the First Affiliated Hospital of Xiamen University from June, 2010 to May, 2011. The differences of the aforementioned results in patients with different prognostic risks were compared and analyzed. The Pneumonia Severity Index (PSI) was calculated to assess the severity. ⋯ D-dimer was significantly higher in patients with CAP. D-dimer level was positively correlated with severity and mortality. D-dimer could be a good biomarker to assess the severity and mortality of patients with CAP.

[Early treatment with hepatocyte growth factor improves pulmonary artery and right ventricular remodeling in rats with pulmonary artery hypertension by modulating cytokines expression].
To investigate the effect of early treatment with hepatocyte growth factor (HGF) on the cytokine expression and pulmonary artery, right ventricular (RV) remodeling in the rat model of pulmonary artery hypertension (PAH). ⋯ Early treatment with HGF improves pulmonary artery and RV remodeling, possibly by decreasing the expression of TNF-α, IL-6, IL-1β and TGF-β1 in pulmonary arteries and RV.
