[Analysis of differentially expressed genes between resuscitating and active Mycobacterium tuberculosis].
To screen key genes of dormant M. tuberculosis for resuscitation. ⋯ Differentially expressed genes between resuscitating and active M. tuberculosis were identified using SSH technique and the results may help exploring key genes and mechanisms of dormant M. tuberculosis for resuscitation.

[The predictive factors and unfavourable prognostic factors of interstitial lung disease in patients with polymyositis/dermatomyositis].
To analyze the predictive factors and the unfavourable prognostic factors of interstitial lung disease (ILD) in patients with polymyositis (PM)/dermatomyositis (DM). ⋯ The occurrence of ILD in PM/ DM patients was closely correlated to Gottron's rash, age > or = 40 years, arthralgia and fever. Gottron's rash, heart impairment and pulmonary fibrosis were poor prognosis factors of PM/DM patients complicated with ILD.

[Causes of benign central airway stenoses and the efficacy of interventional treatments through flexible bronchoscopy].
To analyze the causes of benign central airway stenoses and to evaluate the efficacy of interventional treatments through flexible bronchoscopy. ⋯ Tuberculosis is the most common cause of benign central airway stenoses in this series. Utilization of interventional methods through flexible bronchoscopy is effective in treating benign central airway stenoses.

[Effects of prone position ventilation combined with recruitment maneuver on oxygenation and shunt in canines with acute respiratory distress syndrome].
To evaluate the effects of prone position ventilation (PPV) combined with recruitment maneuver (RM) on oxygenation and intrapulmonary shunting in oleic acid-induced acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) in canines while ventilated with lung protective ventilation strategy. ⋯ On the basis of small tidal volume lung and PEEP protective ventilation strategy, combining prone position and recruitment maneuver was more effective and showed a synergistic effect on improving oxygenation and intrapulmonary shunt.

Case Reports[Acute exacerbation of usual interstitial pneumonia and nonspecific interstitial pneumonia: analysis of 6 cases].
Acute exacerbation of diffuse parenchymal lung disease (DPLD) is a condition in which patients with usual interstitial pneumonia (UIP), and other forms of interstitial lung disease, develops rapid respiratory failure, accompanied by extensive radiological infiltrates, and had no evidence of infection. The pathologic features of this condition are usually diffuse alveolar damage (DAD) and the outcome is poor. Our study was to define the clinicopathologic features and outcome of acute exacerbation in 3 patients with UIP and 3 with nonspecific interstitial pneumonia (NSIP). ⋯ Both UIP and NSIP can develop acute exacerbations. The trigger of acute exacerbation was unclear, but in some cases it maybe related to VATS. The clinical features include rapid respiratory failure, accompanied by extensive radiological infiltrates. The fatality is high. Corticosteroids or intravenous immunoglobulin may be helpful in the treatment of the condition.
