Contemporary burden and trends of opioid-overdose mortality in New York State.
Limited research exists on contemporary opioid overdose mortality burden and trends in New York State, with most studies focusing on New York City. This study aimed to assess opioid overdose burden and death trends in New York State by age, sex, race/ethnicity, geographic area, opioid type, and overdose intent from 1999 to 2020. ⋯ Opioid overdose mortality in New York State has worsened significantly in the last two decades. Further research is essential to identify driving factors for targeted public health interventions.

Implementing an advanced team-based care model in a federally qualified health center (FQHC): Assessing implementation facilitators and challenges.
The objective of this paper is to assess implementation facilitators and challenges for advanced team-based care (aTBC) in a federally qualified health center (FQHC). In aTBC, care team coordinators room patients, perform vitals and agenda setting during patient intake, and remain present alongside providers during patient visits. ⋯ FQHCs that wish to implement aTBC models need strong champions and internal structures for piloting, adapting, and disseminating interventions. FQHC leaders must think strategically about how to build support and demonstrate success to improve an FQHC's chances of expanding and sustaining aTBC.

The scale-up of evidence-based interventions is necessary to reverse high rates of obesity. However, scale-up doesn't occur frequently nor in a timely manner. While it has been estimated that takes 14-17 years for research translation to occur, the time taken to scale-up prevention interventions is largely unknown. This study examined the time taken to scale-up obesity prevention interventions across four scale-up pathways. ⋯ Our findings indicate that the scale-up of obesity prevention interventions can occur more quickly than previous estimates of 14-17 years. Our findings support previous research that scale-up of interventions occurs through a variety of pathways and often scale-up occurs in absence of prior evidence of effectiveness.
