Health prevention intervention for chronic tissue fibrosis: Based on the specific expression of CCL19/21 + mast cell.
Chronic tissue fibrosis is a common pathological feature of connective tissue diseases and malignant tumors, and its prevention has been a major focus of relevant research. However, the details of the mechanism of action of tissue-colonizing immune cells in fibroblast migration are unclear. In this study, connective tissue disease tissue specimens and solid tumor specimens were selected to observe the relationship between mast cells and interstitial fibrosis and the expression characteristics of mast cells. ⋯ In disease tissue fibrosis, mast cell activation may increase the expression of chemokines, especially CCL19, in the tissue, thereby inducing a large number of CCR7-positive fibroblasts to migrate to specific tissues. This study lays a foundation for the mechanism of tissue fibrosis and provides evidence for the mechanism by which mast cells induce fibroblast migration. Through the experimental results of this paper, we can combine the induction factors of chronic tissue fibrosis and put forward targeted health prevention strategies.

Hair follicle stem cell proliferation and differentiation are achieved by miR-1285-3P through targeted regulation of NOTCH pathway.
The purpose of this experiment is to understand how miR-1285-3P regulates the NOTCH signaling pathway by targeting, thereby affecting the proliferation and differentiation of hair follicle stem cells. The cultured Inner Mongolia hair follicle stem cells were used in this experiment, and they were divided into control group, blank transfection group and miR-1285-3P transfection group. Among them, the control group was left untreated; the blank group was given miR-NC transfection; at the same time, the miR-1285-3P transfection group was given miR-1285-3P mimics for transfection. ⋯ For hair follicle stem cells in each group, the proportion of cells in the G0-G1 phase was significantly different between the blank transfection group (63.18 ± 2.78) and the control group (64.29 ± 2.09), and the blank transfection group had a higher proportion (P < 0.05). In the process of miR-1285-3P targeting and regulating NOTCH signaling pathway, the proliferation and differentiation ability of hair follicle stem cells is affected. When NOTCH signaling pathway is activated, the differentiation of hair follicle stem cells is accelerated.

Global and regional burden of ischemic stroke associated with atrial fibrillation, 2009-2019.
The extent of the preventable burden of ischaemic stroke associated with atrial fibrillation (AF) remains uncertain to date. To address this knowledge gap, we utilised the comparative risk assessment methodology to estimate the burden of ischaemic stroke associated with AF at both global and regional levels. The population attributable fraction for ischaemic stroke and AF was obtained from published literature, while data on the prevalence, incidence, deaths, and disability-adjusted life years (DALY) associated with ischaemic stroke were sourced from the Global Burden of Disease study database. ⋯ It is likely that our findings under-estimated the true burden of ischaemic stroke associated with AF due to limitations such as the use of a fixed population attributable fraction and poor quality of data. Nevertheless, we believe that our estimates provide valuable insights and highlight the urgent need for optimised management of AF through the implementation of efficacious interventions. Such efforts can help reduce the occurrence of preventable ischaemic strokes.

The need for a personalized, core digital resource to facilitate health self-management.
High quality healthcare is becoming increasingly unaffordable and inaccessible. To reverse this trend, people need to self-manage as much of their health as possible. They need to take appropriate preventive actions and use health services in a timely and efficient manner. ⋯ Underuse and failure to maintain use of resources found to be effective also retards progress. Furthermore, people need more help to understand their needs and establish priorities around their health self-management. We argue that these needs can be met with a person-centered, digital self-management core resource that supports people to better understand their needs and priorities and has links to find the resources they need to manage their health, alone or by judicious use of health services.

Longitudinal trajectories of smoking status using 25 year annually-updated data and all-cause mortality followed over 30 years: A community-based prospective cohort study.
We aimed to evaluate the long-term risk of smoking for all-cause mortality according to smoking status trajectories using 25-year annually-repeated input, traced by group-based trajectory modeling with an extension to account for non-random participant attrition or truncation due to death. We examined 2682 men and 4317 women aged 40 to 59 years who participated in annual health checks for the community-based prospective cohort study, 1975-1984 enrollment in Japan. The main outcome measure was all-cause mortality (follow-up period: median 30.2 years in men and 32.2 years in women). ⋯ Among community residents aged 40 to 59 years, 25-year-trajectory-based lifelong smokers had an approximately 30% increased risk for all-cause mortality compared to one-time-point-based smokers. Risk of all-cause mortality among smokers with earlier cessation varied materially. It is necessary to consider the trajectories of smoking status to clarify the long-term excess risk of smoking.
