Higher Liver Stiffness Predicting Adverse Outcomes in Cirrhotic Patients with Child-Pugh Grades A and B.
To describe the baseline characteristics and two-year outcomes of patients with Child-Pugh grades A and B cirrhosis; and evaluate the predictive value of liver stiffness for the development of adverse outcomes (AOs) in this patient population. ⋯ Patients with Child-Pugh grades A and B cirrhosis had an acceptable short-term prognosis. Greater liver stiffness predicted two-year AOs in these patients with relatively mild cirrhosis. The prognostic value of changes in liver stiffness warrants further investigation. Key Words: Liver cirrhosis, Child-Pugh score, Liver stiffness, Asian population, Outcome.

Detection of Kras Gene in Colorectal Cancer Patients through Liquid Biopsy: A Cost-effective Method.
To detect the Kras gene through liquid biopsy, a less invasive technique in diagnosed colorectal cancer patients. ⋯ Kras gene was detected with significantly increased levels in plasma of CRC patients at advanced stages. This confirms that liquid biopsy can be used to detect Kras gene in ctDNA of CRC patients through a magnetic bead based technique. Key Words: Liquid biopsy, Circulating tumor DNA, KRAS, Colorectal cancer, Real-time polymerase chain reaction.

Observational StudyCorrelation between Intestinal Flora and Serum Inflammatory Factors in Post-stroke Depression in Ischemic Stroke.
To investigate the correlation between intestinal flora and serum inflammatory factors IL-1, IL-2, IL-6 and hs-CRP in post-stroke depression (PSD) in ischemic stroke patients. ⋯ There are intestinal flora imbalance and Bifidobacterium undergrowth in patients with PSD, which can lead to overexpression of serum inflammatory factors. Both may be involved in occurrence and progress of PSD in patients with ischemic stroke. Key Words: Ischemic stroke, Post-stroke depression (PSD), Intestinal flora, Inflammatory factors.

Relative Risk of Anxiety and Depression among COVID-19 Survivor Healthcare Workers from a Tertiary Care Hospital in Pakistan: A Pilot Cohort Study.
Longitudinal studies for determining the risk of anxiety and depression among COVID-19 survivor healthcare workers are lacking. This study aimed to determine the risk of anxiety and depression among healthcare workers that survived COVID-19 infection through a six-month post-recovery follow-up. This was a cohort study conducted at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Lady Reading Hospital, Peshawar, from 1st March to 30th August 2020. ⋯ There was no increased risk of anxiety or depression six months post-COVID-19 infection in the infected HCW, compared to uninfected HCW. It is recommended to conduct longitudinal studies with large sample and longer follow-up. Key Words: Relative risk, Anxiety, Depression, HADS, COVID-19, Healthcare workers.
